François Guillemot est ingénieur de recherche au Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) en charge de la documentation vietnamienne à l’Institut d’Asie Orientale à Lyon (IAO, France). Il a reçu son doctorat en histoire de l’Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE, Paris) en 2003. Ses recherches actuelles portent sur les enjeux politiques et culturels de la guerre du Vietnam, en particulier sur le nationalisme non communiste vietnamien. En 2007, il a organisé avec Agathe Larcher-Goscha un colloque international intitulé « Identités corporelles au Vietnam : Métamorphoses et Diversité » à l’Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Il a commencé à s’intéresser à la thématique « des femmes et de la guerre » avec l’étude du rôle des Brigades des Jeunesses de Choc (TNXP) pendant la guerre du Vietnam. Il a notamment publié :

François Guillemot là một kỹ sư nghiên cứu tại Trung tâm quốc gia nghiên cứu khoa học (CNRS) phụ trách kho tư liệu Việt Nam của Viện Nghiên cứu Đông Á (IAO, Pháp) tại Lyon. Ông đậu tiến sĩ ngành lịch sử từ Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE, Paris) tại Paris vào năm 2003. Hiện tại ông tập trung nghiên cứu về các vấn đề chính trị và văn hóa của cuộc chiến tranh Việt Nam đặc biệt về chủ nghĩa quốc gia (phe không cộng sản). Vào năm 2007, ông tổ chức với Agathe Larcher-Goscha hội thảo quốc tế tiêu đề « Bản sắc co thể tại Việt Nam : chuyển đổi và đa dạng » ở Ecole Normale Supérieure tại Lyon. Ông bắt đầu nghiên cứu về chủ đề « Phụ nữ và chiến tranh » qua việc xem xét lại vai trò của nữ TNXP trong chiến tranh Việt Nam. Ông đã viết :
François Guillemot is a research engineer at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in charge with the Vietnamese documentation at the Lyon Institute of East Asian Studies (IAO, France). He received his doctorate in History from the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes (EPHE, Paris) in 2003. His current research focuses on the political and cultural issues of the Vietnamese war and on Vietnamese non communist nationalism. In 2007, he organized with Agathe Larcher-Goscha and international colloquium entitled “Bodily Identities in Vietnam : Transformations and Diversity” at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon.
